We first sailed on Ventura in October 2022. We have sailed on Ventura since and have two more cruises planned. We were pleasantly surprised with Ventura, finding it a nice sized ship, easy to navigate with a lovely atmosphere.

This gives a brief overview of Ventura. Subsequent blogs will look at various aspects in more detail.

Ventura was launched in 2008. It's a 116,017 ton family-friendly, mid-sized cruise ship which carries about 3,500 passengers. It provides a range of comfortable cabins and suites plus a variety of dining and entertainment venues.

Ventura offers a range of dining venues including traditional dining in the Main Dining Room (included in the cruise fare) or speciality dining in one of the many speciality venues (at an extra cost). Speciality dining includes Sindhu (with a delectable British/Indian fusion menu), Epicurean (contemporary fine dining) and The Beach House (an American style eatery). Waterside Buffet is also available as part of the cruise fare.

There are many bars and lounges to chose from on Ventura. These include Red Bar (central location), The Exchange (pub style venue), Metropolis (relax with background music) and The Glass House.

There is plenty of entertainment available on Ventura. The Arena Theatre offers West End inspired shows, whilst other venues such as Tamarind Club and Havana offer alternative live entertainment, including live music and comedy. There is also the opportunity to shop with a number of shops and boutiques on board.

Ventura has a number of pools on board, including adult-only and child-friendly pools. There are many daytime activities on offer, from trivia and dance lessons and much more.

Ventura also offers a range of health and wellness opportunities giving guests the opportunity to relax and unwind. There is also an opportunity to stay fit in the ship's gym.
