France is reported to produce over 1,600 different varieties of cheese. Major tourist destinations include Paris, but beyond the obvious lies Bordeaux, Nice and Marseille.

Sailing from the UK, most cruise operators visit France. Short-hop cruises touch down at Le Havre, Cherbourg and La Rochelle, whilst longer trips may include Marseille, Toulon and Nice.
